Scenario 2: Curtis and Andrew attempted to sanctify a cursed island. I guess that is what we did. It felt more like we stumbled around for a long time, unable to ever build crosses, and then Andrew dies exploring the island all alone. It was all looking bleak right at that moment anyway, but his sad death will live with us all.

Scenario 1: I decided to try this one more time, as I had never won it solo. Things were going pretty well, if you ignored the fact that Friday could not do a damn thing without taking wounds. Finally, in the fourth round, desperately needing a roof along with other things, I sent him off to do that on his own. He built a level of the roof, but died in the process. That is when everything turned ugly. Sure, I managed to get the first three levels of the wood pile finished, but with only two actions available per round, and needing to roll each time, and my character being cursed, things just stopped getting accomplished. Finally, while asleep during the eighth round, a wild beast attacked the camp and killed me. It was brutal. Literally.

Well, it turns out that Andrew, Steve, Hawk, and Grant are the winning combination for Scenario 1. Despite our carpenter struggling for the first few rounds, getting stung by bees, having stomach cramps, and constantly bumbling his way through build attempts, we managed to get a decent food supply working by Round 3. Even more unbelievably, even though the events were bad, they seemed to hit us at the best possible times. early, with two new players, we were taking it slow under the assumption that defeat was guaranteed. However, as the months moved ever onward, and victory seemed likely, we had to seriously ramp up our speed in the hopes of completing the game before Group closed for the night. The last three rounds took about five minutes each, and we were rescued from the island. Success felt good, but it was a shame that we were unable to bask in glory as we immediately transitioned to a mad dash to get the game packed away before the doors were locked on us. Nobody wants to live out Robinson Crusoe in real life...

Scenario 1: I had a lot of trouble getting my wood pile going. In fact, I had a lot of trouble getting any wood at all, and the longer my difficulties went, the worse things got all around me. By the time I had a little bit collected, the weather started taking it all away from me. Despite being relatively healthy after seven days, everything fell apart by the end of Day 9, and with Friday somehow dying in an attempt to upgrade my roof, my last glimmer of hope faded. Death comes for us all.
